SEO Hero - July 2018 Update!
Wow, check out the screenshot above from a Google search on July 3, 2018 (in Chrome's incognito mode so it doesn't show me false rankings). This SEO Hero website (built in Wix) has moved above the original Wix Contest Winner, seo-hero.tech! It's also still beating out hundreds of other Wordpress and other platform-based websites that were created by highly-skilled SEO companies and teams that all were striving to win the $50,000 grand prize from Wix for getting to the top. So what does this mean? That yes, Wix is great for SEO!! Afterall, I built this site all on my own without any help or a team of people to generate content. Why does it do so well, because I created lots of great SEO content on the site that is actually USEFUL to people.
That's right, it's all about adding new content regularly, and providing honest, useful, in-depth information that people actually want to read. It's about finding out what people are searching for, and answering common questions in a useful, informative way. I've packed this website full of all my best tips for SEO, collected from my past 16 years as a Website Designer.
I've worked with several big SEO companies over the years for my client websites, and to be honest, we fired all of them. Why? Because many SEO companies focus solely on building "inbound links" and providing "reports" of rankings (which are free anyway with tools like Google Analytics), and they don't actually focus on improving the website itself with new, in-depth and useful content. They DO focus on getting you to sign a long-term expensive contract, and then they don't seem to do much of anything on a month-to-month basis except build shady inbound links on worthless third-party or internal networks of blogs, which could actually HURT your SEO over time when Google catches wind of these "fake" links built just for SEO. Google doesn't want to see that you're faking your SEO, it wants you to build an in-depth informational website that answers peoples searched needs and questions. Inbound links will naturally increase over time if you're actually building pages that have value to searchers. For example, answer your top customer questions, or build a page about your top tips relating to your business services. If you build it, they will come!
As a professional Web Designer, I also offer SEO Consultation packages that review websites, and research keywords and phrases, page title tags and other meta tags, and then provide a instructions and a hitlist of how and what content to build over time. To give you a better idea of what all is included in my SEO Hero packages, here is a summary: I will research keywords to find out what people are searching for, make recommendations and then optimize the website with the keywords and meta tags that I recommend. I will also optimize or setup blogs, write a couple good posts as a starting point, optimize your existing pages for specific keywords, and then I will consult you and give you an idea hitlist for writing new blog articles or page content going forward – which is all great for SEO. As I always say, SEO Is not about "tricks" – it’s all about giving Google and your readers lots of valuable, in-depth information and images, and optimizing your content properly.
